+ A sourdough boule that was offered to me by the neighborhood wine shop - a delicious surface for tomatoes, and avocados, and cheese throughout the week.
+ The beginning days of early fall/Indian summer when the humidity begins to abate and everything is suffused in amber.
+ Helping a friend paint her new apartment in a color that to her speaks of home. It was immensely satisfying to see how a few hours of hilarity, occasionally precarity, and paint splatters could transform a space so completely.
+ Talking with a friend about being on a #Strongwomanbookkick - I have a lot of thoughts and recommendations. More on that soon.
Other small things:
+ No card, no instructions - a poem that stuck with me this week.
+ I finally got around to seeing On the Basis of Sex, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a strong woman through and through. I know the major complaint agains the movie is that its pacing is on the slower side, but I think the slowness speaks to the pace and system against which she was fighting and has continued to fight. I would strongly recommend.
