My name is Marlena and I am a bibliophile, mountain enthusiast, social science nerd, and cheese fiend currently living in Missoula, Montana.
In 2019 I earned my MA in Humanities from the University of Chicago where I wrote a thesis titled "Bookstores as Sites of and for Community: A Chicago Case Study."
I have a deep affinity for people and places and how they connect and intersect. This space is one that I hope to use to continue to write about community and community building in public spaces, share book recommendations, and encourage slow and thoughtful living, and attention to the text and texture that make up both our personal and shared narratives.
